Book Launch, Readings, discussion & WWII Veterans Recognition

Hastings Bookstore, Alexandria will host an event with Curt Iles, Author, Storyteller and Speaker, on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 2 pm to 5 pm to have readings from his eighth book, A Spent Bullet and its companion children's book, Uncle Sam: A Horse's Tale. Timeline is as follows:
2 pm - Reading of the children's book; read by Jade Ross the illustrator of the book. Jade is a senior at Alexandria High School;

3 pm - Curt Iles will read portions of A Spent Bullet, set in Central Louisiana at the beginning of WWII; he will then lead a discussion;

4 pm - Reading of the children's book; to be read by Julian Quebedeaux, Graphics Editor;

5 pm - Recognition of WWII Veterans or their family members that are present in their memory. Discussion of manuvers and the part Cenla played during that era.

Mr. Iles will be available to sign copies of his books and visit with attendees.
